I'm Lina. I'm also known as plastic on IRC and Lì Nà in Chinese. Recently,
people have also started to refer to me as robot girl or bionic woman,
since I have a titanium screw in my left leg.
I live in Zurich, Switzerland. After a long period of confusion of where I actually live, my two cats Ada and Lilo will soon move in with me again. I spend my days at work typing answers to search queries really really fast. I've studied Computer Science and Engineering at Chalmers. When I was allowed to choose my own classes, most of them were on the topics of cryptography, security, operating systems, and maths. I spent my last six months trying to factor large integers. Shortly thereafter, I met a guy at work who had been trying to multiply large integers. We should probably never be allowed to work on the same project, as we might accidentally reverse eachother's work. I like LinuxChix. Val Henson and I have written a tutorial on Linux kernel hacking which has been published at IBM developerWorks. Here are part 1 and part 2. An older version which doesn't demand registration can be found at the LinuxChix website. I spent seven weeks of my summer vacation in 2004 in Taiwan, learning Chinese. I kept a diary which can be found here. It's mostly written in Swedish. There are some photos as well, with comments in English. I have a bunch of other photos of all sorts of things outside of Taiwan, too.
