The situation leading up to it was a little embarrassing, so let's just say that I was dying and leave that part at that. I had the traditional light at the end o' the tunnel and the floating experience. Strangely enough, when I got to the other end, I found myself at some sort of carnival. There was a big, fat guy in a paisley tie, smoking a huge cigar and laughing at me. I remember thinking to myself, "Oh no, I went to the place where silly people go!" The next thing I knew I was being revived. I know that this sounds like a joke, but I swear to you that it is a true story! Needless to say, this hasn't had much of an effect on me. I'm just as much of a silly person as I've ever been. -- Andrew Lias | anrwlias@netcom.com | Finger for PGP key *-------------------*-------------------------------*----------------------* A zealot's stones will break my bones, but gods will never hurt me. ###################################################################### Subject: Re: Near Death Experiences Examined > o Some claim to have met God--but a few saw Elvis or even > Groucho Marx. > > o Some when through the so-called "tunnel of light"--but others > boarded ghostly taxicabs, ferries on the River Styx, or even > "spangled cows". > > o Children returning from "death" have claimed to meet teachers > that were not dead or even Nintendo characters. I dunno, maybe it just implies that the afterlife is a *much* more entertaining place than I imagined. -- Matt 01234567 <-- Indent-o-Meter McIrvin ^ Tab damage as window on reality!
